About Katie
Katie is a Melbourne based Stylist and Blogger who has an overwhelming love for fashion and styling. Whilst she loves both high street and high-end luxury fashion, she is most dedicated to spreading her message that investing in key, classic pieces is the best way of building a lasting wardrobe. Her passion is to help others achieve their styling goals and lead with confidence in their day to day lives.
Back in 2013, Katie started a fashion blog named Something in the Moment which saw her form a keen eye for fashion trends from around the world. It even scored her the opportunity to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sydney in 2014. However, it was after a series of life events that made Katie decide to table her love and interest for fashion and navigate her way through her mid to late 20s. It was only upon reaching the end of her 20s and hitting 30 that she decided, fashion and style was still a huge passion for her and started up blogging once again. She has now been consistent in doing so since 2019.
By 2021 Katie had cemented where her niche passion lay as she truly discovered her own personal style. Now, as an ex shopaholic who thought she needed all the latest trends to essentially 'keep up', Katie has become incredibly passionate about building a timeless wardrobe rather than following those trends.
Katie then made the leap and enrolled to study with Australia’s leading styling school, Australian Style Institute. Furthering her skills and love for fashion and learning how to take others along the journey she is so passionate about; to create a timeless wardrobe that works for you.
As someone who has also struggled with weight fluctuations throughout adulthood after always being labelled the "skinny kid" when she was younger, Katie had realised good style isn't about the size of the clothing you wear but how you wear it. It's only through her own personal journey to timeless style and leaving trends behind has she mastered the art of creating a lasting capsule wardrobe that can then be built upon.
